
Oh, Ms. Jodi is a beautiful and smart lady, and she's always surprising me with her delicious and sometimes quite simple food. Here's one that shocked the socks off of me, and since she hasn't posted the recipe herself, I thought I'd go ahead and share it because...well, the truth needs to come out. What's the truth? This: you don't need to do anything--not even cut the thing--in order to have delicious butternut squash. That's right. Put the whole squash into the oven and bake. The end.
Ingredients
- 1 butternut squash
Directions
Put the whole squash on a baking sheet, and shove it into the oven at 400ยบ. (You really don't even need to preheat it.)
After an hour, take it out and let it sit for a few minutes. Then slice it in half and garnish however you like (salt, pepper, butter, whatever).
