I freaked out when I realized that ranch dressing is mostly just mayonnaise, but then I remembered that mayonnaise is really just oil so it makes sense to use it on salad... I added sour cream to this recipe to make it thicker and more like cool ranch. I also added a touch of lemon to brighten it up. Note that this is a lot of garlic so be warned...
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp buttermilk
- 2 tbsp sour cream
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
- 1/16 lemon, juiced
- 1 small clove garlic, pressed (optional)
about 1/2 cup
Directions
Whisk all the ingredients together. For tastiest results, let chill in the refrigerator.
