This is a blank slate recipe for making roasted garbanzo beans. Just add 1-2 teaspoons of your favorite seasonings to dress them up: cajun spices, fresh herbs, whatever! Simple.


  • 1 15 oz can garbanzo beans
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
1 cup


Preheat oven to 400ยบ.

Meanwhile, drain the garbanzo beans and rinse. Let air dry on some paper towels. When the oven is ready, use another paper towel to gently dab the beans dry.

In a bowl, whisk together the olive oil and salt. Add the garbanzo beans and stir until well-coated.

Spread onto a baking sheet and bake for 1 hour, giving the sheet a little shake every 15 minutes or so.

Let cool a bit before serving.

    No a fan of beans (it's a texture thing) ... however, I adore roasted vegetables and am looking forward to trying this.
