Makes 9x2" cake or 2-6" layer cakes. No need for a mixer. If the butter is soft you can mix this with a spoon.
- 3 oz white chocolate, melted and cooled
- 3 egg yolks
- 4 oz milk, divided
- 3/4 tsp vanilla
- 5 oz cake flour
- 4.5 oz sugar, superfine
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp matcha powder
- 2.5 oz butter, soft
Melt and cool white chocolate in the microwave.
Mix egg yolks, 1 oz milk and vanilla in a small bowl. Stir in white chocolate.
Add cake flour, salt, matcha, sugar and baking powder in a large bowl. Add butter and 3 oz milk. Stir til just moistened. Add egg mixture in 3 batches.
Bake 350 for 35 minutes.
