Quintessential Laos snack. We didn't have candy in the house so this was a rare occassion when we ate sugar. Usually there is roasted rice and a sour fruit but this is the simplest way to make it. It should be perfectly umami.
- 2 green mangos, sliced
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp dried pepper flakes or less
- 1/8 tsp salt
Dump ingredients in a small bowl. Use a mango slice to stir the ingredients together. Eeeaaaaatttt.
