French apple tart

I love this recipe. So much easier and faster than pie. I used an apricot peach glaze and my daughter says it tastes like a peach pizza!


  • 1 recipe double pie crust
  • 2 extra large fuji apples
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 c apricot jam
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp brandy


Roll out pie crust into a 1/4" rectangle. Place in fridge while you prep the apples.

Peel and core apples. Slice and place on pie crust at a diagonal. Sprinkle with sugar and dot with cold butter.

Bake at 400 for 1 hour. After 30 minutes protect edge with foil.

Warm jam, lemon and brandy over stove. Push thru mesh seive. Use as glaze.
