Since I'm anemic my paranoid self assumes my children are too. I make this dessert all the time for my family. Black rice is a tasty source of iron, not to mention high in antioxidants, fiber, etc..etc..etc..health benefits abound! I try to use natural sugars in this recipe to keep in the theme of "health".
Ingredients
- 1 cup raw black rice
- 5 cups water
- 60g (or 1 disc) palm sugar
- pinch salt
6 servings
Directions
Wash rice a few times.
Boil rice, water, salt and sugar. Lower heat and simmer til rice is soft and water has thickened. Stir occasionally.
