Pasta shells

Pasta shells by Sarah Xiong

Great finger food and way too easy to eat. Next time I make these I'm going to replace the red sauce on the bottom for olive oil just for the sake of neatness.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag of pasta shells
  • olive oil
  • 3 Italian sausages
  • 2 heads of kale, stems removed and diced
  • 2/3 cup of red sauce
  • salt and pepper
10-15 servings

Directions

Boil shells in salted water a few minutes less than recommended cooking time. Drain and toss with olive oil.

Remove casings from sausages and fry til cooked thru. No need to oil pan. Break sausages into tiny bits. Add chopped kale to pan and wilt. Add spaghetti sauce to pan and season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat. Spoon into shells and put filled shells in a greased baking pan. Cover with a piece of foil and bake 350 for 30 minutes.

90 minutes
