Transcribed from an old Clark family recipe; not sure Sauer's makes a spice mix for seafood boils anymore. I usually make mine by putting in the potatoes in boiling water spiced with about a half cup of loose Old Bay seasoning and cooking them for 15 minutes, followed by corn (5 mins. more), sausage (5 mins. more), and shrimp (5 mins. or until pink—do not overcook!), but this recipe works just as well. It's all about minding cook times.
Ingredients
- 5 bs. medium shrimp
- 3 lbs. Smoked beef sausage
- Old Bay or Sauer’s seafood seasoning
- 6 ears of corn
- (small red potatoes)
Directions
1st boil water.
Cut sausage into 2" pieces - 10 min
Corn - 5-8 min
Put seasoning in tied handkerchief and add shrimp - 5-8 mins
Take out separate and serve
