
This is where simplicity meets brilliance. Salt from the crackers goes so well with a caramel-y ice cream like Dulce de Leche. My presentation does not do this dessert justice. These ice cream sandwiches really are kind of spectacular.
Ingredients
- 16 saltines
- 1/2 pint Dulce de Leche
8 sandwiches
Directions
Lay half the saltines out, salt-side down. Place about 2 tablespoons of ice cream on each. Place another saltine on top, salt-side up. Press gently to evenly distribute the ice cream. Use a butter knife to smooth the edges. Freeze to harden. Wrap individually or serve immediately.
