salt & pepper shrimp

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 lb large shrimp, shell-on
  • 1/4 cup corn starch
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • fried garlic, green onions, jalapenos

Directions

Heat oil on high in a large pan.

Pat shrimp dry. Toss with corn starch, salt, and pepper.

When the oil is hot, cook in batches until each side turns a delicious dark amber.

Toss the cooked shrimp with whatever you fancy: fried garlic, sliced green onions, or diced jalapenos.
