
You may not know you need pickled onions, but you need pickled onions. They taste pretty fantastic. They're a great acidic addition to a taco or burger.
Ingredients
- 1 red onion
- 1/4 red wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
Directions
Thinly slice the onion. (I recommend using a mandoline.) Transfer to an air-tight container.
Mix vinegar, sugar, and salt. Pour over onions and refrigerate at least 30 minutes or ideally over night.
