Yes! You can grill okra! Kevin was skeptical, but then he loved it!
Ingredients
- 1 lb okra, trimmed
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
Directions
Heat the grill. (If you're using a charcoal grill, you'll want to let the fire mellow. For indoor, crank it to medium-high, and then lower it to medium when you're ready to go.)
Toss the okra with olive oil and salt. Spread on a grill. Turn occasionally. Once soft and nicely colored, remove.
Serve immediately.
Comments
Ok, we used to grow okra in our garden every year growing up, but it was so nasty I'd feed it to the sheep instead. Never tried grilling it, but that's tempting.
