coconut whipped cream (dairy-free)

coconut whipped cream (dairy-free) by joanie

This is an easy, 3 minute recipe for whipped cream...from a can. It's been making the rounds on the Internet. Basically, you chill a can of coconut milk to separate the fat from the water. Then you whip the fat. It's delicious.

  • 1 can coconut milk (full fat, not light)
  • 1 tsp sugar (optional)
about 1 cup

Chill a can of coconut milk so that the solids rise to the top. Scoop out the solids or use a strainer. Save the water for another recipe.

Add sugar if you want it sweeter. It's pretty sweet as-is.

Whip the solids how you might otherwise whip heavy cream: standing mixer, immersion blender, whisk.

3 minutes
