
This was not as delicious as I hoped. Next time I will make more caramel and use a heartier nut--probably whole roasted almonds.
Ingredients
- 2 slices thick bacon, cooked and chopped
- 1/4 cup roasted pecans
- 4 cups popped popcorn
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp light corn syrup
- 1/8 tsp baking soda
Directions
Combine the bacon, pecans, and popcorn. Set aside.
Heat the brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup over medium heat until it starts to bubble and reaches a temperature of 230ยบ. Stir in the baking soda.
Quickly combine the brown sugar mixture with the popcorn being sure to evenly distribute the mixture. Be quick before it sets!
Cool before consuming.
