pisco sour

I'm so suggestible. Chow's email newsletter featured a pisco sour, and suddenly I knew what I'd be making in the afternoon, despite the rain and fog.

Note: I forgot to add the bitters before I took the picture. When I realized, the dark clouds had already moved in, and my light was gone.

Ingredients

  • 3 oz pisco brandy
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 1 lime
  • 1 egg white
  • dash angostura bitters
1 glass

Directions

Combine the pisco and syrup in a shaker. Add the juice of 1 lime and the egg white. GIve it a good shake to develop a froth.

Pour into an old fashioned glass. Add a dash of bitters.

Enjoy immediately.
