Sachertorte Cocktail

Sachertorte Cocktail by Humuhumu

Inspired by the famous desert of Vienna. The brands make a difference on this one, substitute with caution. This drink was created by Haley Samas-Berry, Nathan Maxwell Cann, and me.

Ingredients

  • .5 oz Ron Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva rum
  • .75 oz cognac
  • .5 oz Rothman & Winter Orchard Apricot liqueur
  • .5 oz Tempus Fugit Creme de Cacao
  • 1 oz heavy cream
  • dash orange bitters
  • drop vanilla extract

Directions

Stir the rum, cognac, apricot and cacao with ice, strain into a stemmed coupe. Froth cream with bitters and vanilla, gently spoon over the top.

You won't need or want to use all that cream, there's a bit extra so you won't have to fret over the cream left clinging to the frothing cup. I use one of those little battery operated handheld milk frother jobbies.
