Grandma's Cranberry Relish

This is my grandma's cranberry relish. It's a nice, fresh treat to have around the holidays. I often keep a big batch of it (it gets better with time) on hand and munch on it. The use of a meat grinder to process the ingredients is unique and the key to getting a proper consistency.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Cranberries
  • 2 red apples – 1 peeled
  • 2 green apples –1 peeled
  • 2 oranges – 1 peeled
  • 1 small can crushed pineapple (not drained)
  • 1 cup sugar
4 cups

Directions

Run all ingredients (except pineapple) through medium plate of meat grinder. Mix together; add sugar. Let sit overnight. If too tart, add a little more sugar to taste.

1 hour
