Here's another recipe from the "Holy Redeemer's Mothers' Club Kitchen Kapers". This recipe comes from Betty Taylor.
This was pretty easy to do and I thought they tasted good. My husband, on the other hand, thought it needed to be more chocolaty...so maybe next time I'll add some chocolate chips.
Ingredients
- 1-3/4 cup flour
- 1 Tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup milk
about 4 dozen
Directions
Preheat oven to 350ยบ.
Sift together flour, baking powder, cocoa, and salt.
In a separate bowl, cream together butter and sugar.
Then add egg and vanilla.
Mix in rest of ingredients -- alternating between the dry stuff and the milk.
On a cookie sheet covered with a silpat or parchment paper, use teaspoons to drop balls of dough onto the tray.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven and cool on tray.
