SWEET BANANA MAIDA APPAM (PANIYARAM) by antonetroajer

Sweet banana maida appam is a quick and easy snack made with over-ripe bananas in 25 mins. Since it is sweet, it can also serve as a dessert or snack for the kids

Ingredients

  • 1 no BANANAS RAW
  • 1 cup ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
  • 0.75 cup SUGAR (to taste)
  • 3 oz WATER (for making batter)
  • 1 cup OIL (for frying)
  • 2 no CARDAMOM
  • 0.50 tsp BAKING SODA

Directions

In a bowl mash banana until smooth, add all-purpose flour, sugar, baking soda, crushed cardamoms and mix well.
Add water gradually and make a batter. The batter should not be too thin or thick. It should be in a dosa batter consistency. Let the batter to sit for 20 minutes.
In a hot oil, drop the batter little by little and deep fry over a medium flame until the color changes into golden brown.
