
this is a very tasty way to eat tofu. just make sure you leave enough time for some marinating--it takes tofu awhile to soak up the flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 lb extra firm tofu
- 2 garlic cloves, pressed
- 3 t chopped ginger
- 1/2 t red pepper flakes
- 1 T canola oil
- 2 T sesame oil
- 3 t packed brown sugar
- 2 T soy sauce
- 1 T mirin
- sesame seeds

Directions
drain the tofu well and slice it into either four or eight equal-sized pieces. mix together garlic through mirin and marinate the tofu in it for a few hours or overnight.
fry in a non-stick pan oiled with canola oil, about 5 minutes on each side, until golden brown. top with sesame seeds. serve with brown rice or quinoa and some sauteed greens or roasted vegetables.
