braised celery

This is a simple and quick dish with a fantastic flavor. Honestly, it doesn't just taste like cooked celery; it's richly caramelized.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 8 stalks celery, trimmed and sliced
  • 1/2 cup stock
  • salt and pepper to taste
2-3 sides

Directions

Heat the butter in a large saute pan over medium-high heat. Add the celery and stir well. Add the stock and saute, stirring often, until the liquid becomes a glaze and the celery takes on color. Salt and pepper to taste.

Serve immediately.
