rum-spiked ganache (single serving)

rum-spiked ganache (single serving) by joanie

I made this tasty ganache to go with my little quickie, single-serving chocolate cake so this recipe only makes enough for that. If you wanted to make more, I'd recommend the more standard method of warming the cream and then melting the chocolate in it. This is ideal for immediately turning anything into a chocolatey delight.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz bittersweet chocolate
  • 1 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 tsp rum
about 3 tablespoons

Directions

Using a microwave, warm the chocolate until it just starts to melt on the edges (about 45 seconds). Remove and use a whisk to finish melting the chocolate. Then whisk in the milk followed by the rum.

Let it cool a bit to thicken before using.

2 minutes
