shortbread cookies

These are good, simple cookies. Dip them in chocolate, and you'll be a star.

Ingredients

  • 1 stick (1/4 lb) butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
1 baking sheet of cookies

Directions

Beat the sugar, butter, and salt. Add in the flour. Once it comes together as a dough, put it in the freezer for about 15 minutes.

Preheat oven to 350ยบ.

Roll out the dough 1/4" thick on a lightly floured surface. Cut into exciting shapes and transfer to a lined baking sheet.

Bake for about 15 minutes or until the edges start to lightly golden.

Cool before serving.
