Spicy Cinnamon Frosting (great with chocolate cupcakes)

Spicy Cinnamon Frosting (great with chocolate cupcakes) by alchemisty

This frosting is so good that Liz Dunn once dove across the kitchen to stop me when I was about to dump some extra in the garbage. She ate about a cup of it before even trying a cupcake.


  • 1/2 C softened butter
  • 2 t vanilla extract
  • 1 t cinnamon (I use spicy Vietnamese cinnamon)
  • 3-5 C powdered sugar
  • 3-5 T milk


Beat together the butter, vanilla, cinnamon and 1 C powdered sugar. When creamy, begin to alternate adding powdered sugar and small bits of milk until you get the right consistency.
