Quick Apple Tart

Sometimes you want a fruity dessert very quickly, right?

Ingredients

  • 3 apples (you choose--I used two granny smiths and a honeycrisp)
  • 1 pie crust (maybe you bought it at the store. maybe it's homemade and you have it hiding in the freezer for an occasion of need such as this.)
  • 1/2 C sugar
  • 1 T cinnamon
  • 1 T flour
  • plus topping:
  • 1/4 C sugar
  • 1/4 C flour
  • 2 T butter, cold, in small cubes
8 inch pie

Directions

peel the apples and send them through a food processor. they'll be sliced thinly and thus will cook quickly.

roll out the pie crust and put it in the pie dish.

mix the apple slices together in a bowl with the sugar, cinnamon and flour.

dump that in the crust.

mix the topping ingredients together, working them with two knifes for a short while. dump that on top.

bake it for 30 minutes or until it looks good and smells great.

i recommend serving it with some tasty vanilla ice cream.
