Found this off Endless Simmer and tried it out. REALLY incredible, just takes a while since you gotta muddle.

Ingredients

  • 1 ΒΌ oz. Corzo Silver
  • 2 strawberries
  • 1 sprigs of fresh basil
  • 4 drops of balsamic
  • 1 oz. Fresh lime juice
  • 2 oz. distilled water
  • 2 packets of Splenda or similar or 1 oz Agave Nectar
1 drink

Directions

Serve over the rocks in an 8 oz. glass

Method: In a mixing glass muddle fresh strawberries and basil, add the rest of the ingredients with ice, shake 20 times and serve in a rocks glass with fresh ice. Garnish with a fresh spring of basil.

------

Those are the official directions. But I found adding more balsamic added some good savory feelings in my mouth. Also, I used soda water instead of distilled. ALSO, ALWAYS MORE TEQUILA!!!

Well, I actually had a couple cocktails this morning trying to refine my entry for Saveur's home cook cocktail challenge. (Vote for me here: http://www.saveur.com/RecipeContest/contestant.jsp?index=1&ID=42468255) I feel...sleepy. Will need to make balsamic margaritas when I wake up...

Joanie I love that you just admitted you're two glasses of wine into your Thursday and it's only 2:30pm! Seems like there is plenty of room for this balsamic elixir left in today!

Holy Cow! I wish I didn't just have 2 glasses of pinot grigio because that seems lame after having seen this!
