Fried Oysters With Tofu Ginger And Onion by Amah

Note: Be sure to wash the oyster thoroughly, so that the sand in the oysters are washed out. Also, wash them gently so that you don't break the suck (stomach).

Ingredients

  • 6 medium oyster washed & drained
  • 1/2 block of firm tofu cut in cube
  • 1 bundle of Chinese onion
  • 1/4 cup of chopped fresh ginger
  • 3 clovers of garlic
  • 1 hot red pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 teaspoon of cooking wine
  • Soy source
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Sugar
  • 1/2 cup of cornstarch

Directions

1. Put salt & pepper over oysters & stir gently
2. Pour oil to frying pan in medium high heat
3. Rub oysters with corn starch
4. Fry oyster until turn brown
5. Turn over to brown the other side
6. Lower heat to medium, add tofu, ginger, garlic, red pepper, wine & sugar to taste
7. Add few drops of water or chicken broth & blend them to taste
8. Cover & cook for 2 minutes
