Easy-To-Make Vegan Apple Pie by MyHealthyDessert

Here’s another autumn classic recipe – the apple pie. This pie is a little different – it’s much more simple, but delicious nevertheless.
The recipe is completely gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan, and requires only a few ingredients.

Ingredients

  • For the crust
  • 1 ½ cup of flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon of water
  • For the filling
  • 2 medium sized apples
  • 3 tablespoons of maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • Cinnamon to taste
  • ¼ cup of walnuts
4 slices

Directions

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

Mix the flour with the salt and sugar. Add the water and the oil and mix until they are well combines. The mixture doesn’t have to look like dough, but it should stay together when you press it.

Spread the crust mixture onto your tray and make holes with a fork.

Bake for about 10 minutes.

In the mean time, slice your apples very thinly and chop the walnuts.

Mix the maple syrup with the sugar, the cinnamon and the chopped walnuts. Then, add the sweet mixture to the apples and mix them thoroughly so every slice of apple is covered with the sweet mixture.

Take the crust out of the oven and spread the filling on it.

Bake for about 25-30 more minutes or until the apples are soft.

Let it cool down and enjoy!
