satsuma old-fashioned

satsuma old-fashioned by joanie

I simplified the recipe since I'm lazier than Mr. Link. Still tasty! And what really put them over the top was Tillen Farms Bada Bing pitted cherries, which are maraschinos without the dye and preservatives. Yum.

Ingredients

  • 1 satsuma or tangerine
  • 5 dashes Fee Brothers Orange Bitters
  • 5 dashes Peychaud Bitters
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 2 oz good bourbon
  • 1 maraschino cherry
1 cocktail

Directions

Fill an old-fashioned glass with cubed ice. Juice the satsuma or tangerine. Add the bitters, simple syrup, and bourbon. Harpoon your cherry and stir. Enjoy immediately.
