Here's a great kale smoothie recipe, which I simplified a bit. The pineapple really balances the kale, and the cucumber adds much needed liquid. According to Oprah, pineapple works digestion, and kale supports the liver.
BTW, it's not easy to make a kale smoothie. Kale does not exactly flow smoothly down one's throat. There have been fiascos... Bad choices.
- 1/2 pineapple, core and outside removed
- 5 kale leaves, large stems removed
- 5 sprigs mint, large stems removed
- 1 english cucumber
Combine the ingredients in a blender and process on high until smooth (about 1-3 minutes depending on the blender).
