Turkey and chicken meatballs in the Instant Pot

This is only the second recipe I've ever tried on my new Instant Pot. The results were amazing!

Ingredients

  • For the meatballs:
  • 1/2 lb ground chicken (thigh or breast)
  • 1/2 lb ground turkey breast
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1/3 cup bread crumbs (or panko, or ground saltines)
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • salt and pepper
  • For the sauce:
  • 1 large can diced tomatoes (or tomato sauce)
  • 1/2 small can tomato paste
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • salt and pepper

Directions

Mix the dry ingredients, then add the meats and wet ingredients. Mix well with a spoon or by hand.

Put all the sauce ingredients in the Instant Pot and mix well.

Form about 10 meatballs and drop them directly in the sauce.

Set the Instant Pot lid with the vent closed. Cook at High Pressure for 10 minutes, then let rest for 10 minutes more before opening the vent to release the steam.

Serve over pasta.
