quick & spicy shrimp and veggie orzo

quick & spicy shrimp and veggie orzo by alchemisty

done in 15 minutes, and tasty.


  • 6 oz. orzo
  • 1/2 head cauliflower, chopped
  • 2 carrots, peeled and chopped
  • 1 C frozen peas
  • 1 C marinara
  • 1/2 t white pepper
  • 1/2 t freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 t chili flakes
  • chopped parsley
  • 15-20 small shrimp, tails and shells removed, chopped in half.
  • parmesan
3-4 servings


cook the orzo and set aside

saute the cauliflower, carrots and peas together until tender. add shirimp and saute for a few minutes, until they look almost done. add marinara, white pepper, black pepper, chili flakes and parsley. stir in orzo. serve it up with grated parmesan on top.
