Pumpkin Chocolate Ganache Cake – semi-sweet chocolate, pumpkin puree, cinnamon, and spices all layered together in one delectable cake. Topped off with chocolate curls… beautiful AND scrumptious!

Ingredients

  • For The Cake:
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1½ teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 cups Dixie Crystals Granulated Sugar
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoons ginger
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup canola oil
  • ½ cup butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups canned pumpkin puree
  • For The Chocolate Frosting Layers:
  • 1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup plus 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • For The Ganache:
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • 7 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1½ teaspoons corn syrup
  • For The Chocolate Curls:
  • One small block of semi-sweet chocolate, approximately 4 ounces
  • One wooden skewer
